This Is A Very Limited Handmade Hardbound Edition. { No. 004 of 010 }
The collection showcases the minimalist wit by emerging young artists Joseph L. Painter, & Michael C. Meyerhofer. Their relationship transcends a characteristic collaboration which began in childhood adolescents connecting to the idea that beautiful artistic inspiration could be derived from anything despite class systems, preconceptions, etc.
Integrating found objects gives freestanding life to the text, and creates intricate grace between the meticulous prose presented on objects such as a rusty heat duct from their basement which appears half a century old. The pieces may or may not have a preconceived expression, letting the viewer connect his or her own emotion and memories. Leaving nothing censored the duo show a large piece of their young selves to the viewer, while making sure not to tell them the obvious. The authors’ purpose was not to pressure one to determine the artistic meaning of the work, but to enjoy it regardless of its comprehension.
